The vision of Scottish Women in Sport is “a Scotland where females of all ages, abilities, ethnicities and walks of life are participating in sport or physical activity; within a positive, equitable culture where their achievements are promoted and celebrated.”
The Women Active at Work campaign is all about getting women over any fear’s of trying out sport and activity by encouraging colleagues and friends at work to come together to try out new sports. Having a support network for exercise makes fitness more fun, rewarding, and makes you less likely to give up.
Women Active at Work has identified 8 different challenges to get you started on your fitness journey, but the focus is on having fun rather than being ultra competitive:
“We’ve identified eight different challenges for you, however feel free to use your own challenges and let us know about them. No need to buy fancy trainers, play by the rules, be competitive or run a marathon – all you need to do is agree your challenge(s) with a friend, turn up and get started.
Whether you’re in a group or just with a friend, whether you try out all eight challenges or just a few it’s your choice.”
To help motivate yourself and others for the Women Active at Work challenge, we’ve got a fantastic competition to win an Apple Watch.
